Learning Technologies 2017: What’s your digital mix?
Multi award-winning learning provider, Sponge is ‘mixing it up’ at Europe’s largest learning technologies event to help businesses get the most out of workplace learning.
Sponge will be urging visitors and delegates at Learning Technologies 2017 (London Olympia, February 1-2) to join the discussion about the most effective digital mix to support modern learners.
Liam O’Meara, Head of Sales and Marketing at Sponge said:
“We’re getting people to think about digital learning interventions as the ingredients to drive improved performance, rather than viewing them as standalone solutions. We’ll be asking people to consider the best possible digital mix for their organisation, now and in the future. Of course, it wouldn’t be Sponge without a sprinkling of fun! Visitors to our Exhibition Hub will get a delicious handmade cupcake to decorate with colourful toppings, each one representing different digital learning elements. We’ll be taking lots of photos and posting them on social media under #spongeLT17.”
Sponge’s stand at location C10 also features Innovation Corner, where visitors will experience new learning technologies. There will be regular demonstrations of interactive 360° video, the award-winning Axonify employee knowledge platform and the latest elearning games.
Session 1: Say hello to interactive 360 video: What it is and when to use it
Learning Technologies Designer of the Year, Kate Nicholls, who is Head of Learning Innovation at Sponge, is hosting a free seminar introducing learning professionals to the next step in 360° learning content. The session, Say hello to interactive 360 video: what it is and when to use it, will discuss the opportunities of this new learning technology, based on the results of a pioneering project.
Session 2: The truth about microlearning: Delivering knowledge in a modern business
The challenge of how to deliver knowledge to employees in a fast-paced, modern workplace is the subject of a special seminar, hosted by Stephen Miller, Head of Platform Solutions at Sponge and Christine Tutssel, Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives at Axonify. The free session will challenge people to rethink their ideas about microlearning and what it can achieve based on real examples from global companies.
As the official UK partner for Axonify, Sponge will be introducing the platform to the Learning Technologies audience for the first time. Visitors to the Sponge exhibition stand (C10) will be able to see a demonstration of the technology and find out how it can build and sustain workforce knowledge.
Session 3: Help managers be at their best with online performance
Sponge is a gold winner of Elearning Company of the Year and Outstanding Learning Organisation, and helps organisations access a whole new world of interactive learning that inspires employees to learn, grow and adapt in an ever-changing business landscape.

Virgin Atlantic’s Tom Warburton will explain how the company worked with Sponge to upskill its hiring manager community to make sure that recruitment processes were agile, professional and timely.
